Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Juna ("Juna," "we," "us") is a family activity planner for iPhone. This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built Juna to keep a family's schedule in one place — not to profit from your data. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who this policy is for

Juna is designed for parents and caregivers. Accounts are created and used by adults. Children do not create accounts or sign in. Any information about a child in the app — a first name, birth year, a photo, a schedule — is entered by the adult who manages the family, on their own device and at their discretion.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details. Your email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic identity information you approve (name and email; Apple may relay a private email address).
  • Family and child details. The names, colors, optional birth year, and optional photos you add for your children, plus jersey numbers, sizes, allergies, or notes if you choose to enter them.
  • Schedule details. Activities, events, venues and locations, gear lists, pickup and drop-off assignments, and any notes you add.
  • Family members. The people you invite to your family and the role you assign them.
  • Cost details. Any expenses you choose to log against an activity or child.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and diagnostics. We use privacy-respecting product analytics (PostHog) to understand which features are used and where the app can improve, and crash reporting (Sentry) to detect and fix errors. This includes app events, device and app version, and error reports.
  • Purchase status. When you subscribe, our payments partner (RevenueCat) and Apple provide us your subscription status (active, trial, expired). We never see your card or full payment details — those stay with Apple.
  • Notification tokens. If you enable notifications, a push token so we can send reminders and family updates.

How we use your information

  • To provide the app: store your family's schedule, detect overlaps, coordinate drop-offs and pickups, and sync across the people in your family.
  • To send the reminders and family notifications you turn on.
  • To manage subscriptions and unlock Pro features.
  • To keep the app working: fix crashes, prevent abuse, and improve features based on aggregate usage.

How your information is shared

We share information only with the service providers that make the app work, and only as needed:

  • Supabase — secure database and authentication that stores your family's data.
  • Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and subscription billing.
  • Google — Sign in with Google (only if you choose it).
  • RevenueCat — subscription management.
  • PostHog and Sentry — product analytics and crash reporting.

Within your own family, the members you invite can see the family's shared schedule according to the role you give them. We do not sell your data, share it with data brokers, or use it for third-party advertising.

Children's privacy

Juna is a tool for parents; it is not directed to children and children do not use it directly. Information about a child is provided by a parent or caregiver who controls what is entered and can edit or delete it at any time. Child photos are stored privately and are only accessible to members of that family. If you believe a child's information has been added by someone without authority, contact us and we will help remove it.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual items (kids, activities, events, photos) at any time in the app. You can delete your entire account from Settings → Delete account, which removes your profile and the family data you own. You may also email us to request deletion.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls that restrict each family's data to that family. Photos are kept in private storage and served through short-lived signed links. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

Your choices

  • Turn notifications on or off in your device settings.
  • Edit or delete any content you've added.
  • Delete your account and associated family data.
  • Contact us to access or correct your information.

International users

Juna is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. By using the app you consent to this processing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
